Our Products

All our products come from a member of the World Fair Trade Organization and are guaranteed by the WFTO. Our Kantha products are ethically handmade by women in economic disadvantages in Bangladesh who are working toward improving their life. Most of our goods are made from reclaimed and recycled saris. They are created by single moms, former sex workers, and widows working toward making a better life for themselves and their children. These women have escaped a life of abuse and abandonment and learned skills to empower them and their families. When you purchase one of our products, you are supporting these women and providing a safe place for them to earn a living which leads them to live an independent life. Your purchase has a purpose!

WHAT OUR ARTISANS SAY?

WORDS FROM THE WOMEN

"I love my job and will work here until my last breath! I am a single mom and the only earning member of my family. When you place more orders, I get more work, which helps me send my kids to school. So, please tell our stories to your customers and let them know that we can make the best handicraft products in the world. Rahima Khatun Artisan, Prokritee."

— Rahima Khatun
Artisan, Prokritee

"I have been working here at Prokritee as an artisan for over 6 years. I like working here. I feel safe here. I wish I could tell them (the buyers) how grateful I am to make their products. I always pray to the Almighty for them and their wellbeing."
